Pre-Occupational Therapy

Pre-Occupational Therapy is one of the undergraduate concentrations offered within the Exercise Science Program.  Students who pursue this concentration earn the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree. Typically, these students plan on pursuing a master's or doctoral program in occupational therapy after completing their bachelor's degree. The Pre-Occupational Therapy program is designed to prepare students for admission into UT's Graduate Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) program.  Thus, the curriculum has been designed to provide the courses required for admission into that program.  Through electives in the Pre-OT concentration, students have the opportunity to customize their curriculum to meet unique admission requirements that may be needed for OT programs at other universities.

There are many factors that set the Exercise Science Pre-OT program apart from those at other colleges and universities. These include state-of-the-art premiere research facilities and advanced training in human anatomy that includes experience in a cadaver lab. The University of Toledo's Exercise Science Program is an excellent choice to prepare for a career in occupational therapy.
