The curriculum at the University of Toledo - Health Science Campus consists of advanced courses and research designed to prepare and qualify students for entry- and upper-level positions as Industrial Hygiene Specialists at:

- Academic institutions
- Consulting firms

- Governmental agencies
In addition, the curriculum will benefit those intending to eventually take applicable certification examinations, such as the American Board of Industrial Hygiene CIH and/or Board of Certified Safety Professionals CSP examinations. Based on a 2019 AIHA compensation survey, the average salary with less than five years in the profession and a MS degree in our field was $77,000.
MSOH-IH INTERNSHIP locations
MSOH-IH students without practical experience in industrial hygiene are required to complete an internship. Many students are offered positions by their internship employers. Internship sites have included:
