Highlights

• Our students have opportunities for scholarships. Our current student, Lisa Jackson, was the recipient of the Valorie Wolcott Mendelson OSPA Scholarship.
• Our faculty are active in the community. School psychology program faculty routinely consult and collaborate with local schools and districts to support to support students’ mental health and well-being, and to increase their academic engagement.
• We have unique training opportunities. Dr. Reynolds directs a Mobile Academic Clinic within Toledo Public Schools that provides first-year school psychology graduate students the unique opportunity to provide reading interventions to early elementary students.
• We have an active UToledo School Psychology Student Association. The School Psychology Student Organization (SPSO) and its members routinely engage in social activities, community service projects, and fundraising campaigns.
• We meet with and see our students and advisees regularly.  Faculty and students interact on a daily basis and faculty members are on campus. To ensure faculty-student connections and student success, faculty members serve as advisors and meet formally and face-to-face with each advisee one time per semester.
• We engage in Collaborative Faculty and Student Research. We engage in collaborative research with students. We have presented at our national conference (NASP) and at state conferences (both OSPA and MASP). We work to publish collaborative research in peer-reviewed journals.
