      Clinical Goals

Athletic training education program students are assigned to clinical instructors to practice and refine their clinical knowledge and skills. These supervisors may be responsible for medical coverage of athletic teams, therapy settings, high schools, professional sports, or medical practices. All students will have clinical exposure to both male and female activities, equipment intensive sports (football, ice hockey, and/or lacrosse), upper extremity sports, lower extremity sports, and general medical coverage. In addition, all UT athletic training students will have a semester exposure at a high school and a semester exposure at a sports medicine or physical therapy clinic.
