    Scholarships

Several options are open to you as an athletic training student for financial assistance through the University and various athletic training organizations. The purpose of this section is to familiarize you with some of the available options. Although at the present time we do not financially reward athletic training students individually (with the exception of those working two-a-day football who may be given a nominal stipend before classes begin through the athletic training room to replace some lost summer earning potential and those working other early fall sports who may be compensated in a similar manner by the coach of the sport), monies are available to you as an athletic training student if you apply.

    Scholarships from UT

Students should consult the Financial Aid Office http://www.financialaid.utoledo.edu/  or call 419-530-5735 for information about campus-wide financial aid available. Unfortunately, at this time students may not use their athletic training clinical assignment on campus for their Federal work-study award.

Exercise science students are eligible for the Thomas Hogan Memorial Scholarship which is awarded every other year (in opposite years the award goes to the geology department).

    Scholarships from the NATA

Dr. Cynthia McKnight, Dr. Susan Norkus, and doctoral student W. Steven Tucker are recipients of the doctoral scholarship while Benjamin Lewicki and senior Meghan Geer are winners of an undergraduate scholarship.
