Virus/Spyware Scanning
Students in The College of Health Science and Human Service are permitted to bring their personal computers to HH2100, our student tech support office, to receive consultations and assistance with removal of spyware and viruses. There is no charge for this service; however, you must sign a waiver and allow 2-5 business days for completion should you decide to leave it with our technician.
Links to Computer Software
Links to popular, downloadable computer software are located on the CHSHS Information Technology web page. Much of the software is free for home use such as AVG AntiVirus, various anti spyware software and Adobe Reader. We also provide links to Microsoft software products that are available for purchase at a discounted price for faculty, staff and students.
Color printing
A color laser printer is available to students in The College of Health Science and Human Service free of charge. This printer is located in HH 2100 where you will find friendly staff to provide assistance. Students will, however, have limited printing per semester.
Poster Printer
The ability to print posters is available to students enrolled in the College of Health Science and Human Service with the approval of an overseeing professor. Posters can be printed in color on sheets as wide as 42 inches. Posters can be printed on adhesive paper to secure to cardboard for presentation purposes or printed on oversized paper for display purposes.
Scanning
A scanner is available to students in The College of Health Science and Human Service. This color flatbed scanner is located in HH 2100 where you will find staff waiting to help you.
Digital Cameras
Digital cameras are available for students to checkout in HH 2100. These cameras are great for indoor and outdoor snapshots and feature 18x optical zoon with 10 megapixels creating an outstanding picture. Cameras can be checked out daily on a first-come, first-serve basis to students enrolled in CHSHS.
Digital Camcorders
Digital camcorders are available for students to checkout in HH 2100. The camcorders feature a 42x optical zoom, image stabilization and a night time video light for capturing video in dark areas. Camcorders can be checked out daily on a first-come, first-server basis to students enrolled in CHSHS. The camcorders use MiniDV media. Students must supply their own MiniDV tapes which are available at the Main Campus Bookstore located in the Student Union. These tapes can also be purchased at any major electronics store.
Laptops
Laptops are available for students in The College of Health Science and Human Service to checkout on a weekly basis. The laptops are equipped with wireless cards that can access the Internet and the UTAD domain from any hotspot within the UT campus. The laptops are also equipped with modems and network interface cards. The laptop checkout off is located in HH2100.
