    Exercise Physiology
Exercise Physiology is one of the seven undergraduate concentrations offered by the Department of Kinesiology. Students who pursue this concentration earn the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree.  The concentration in Exercise Physiology is intended to provide students with in-depth study of the physiological bases of human physical performance. In addition to seminars and advanced courses in exercise physiology, those who complete this specialization take additional courses in biology and chemistry. Also, they work closely with a faculty mentor to design and complete an independent research project of their choosing during their senior year. Upon graduation, those who have chosen this concentration often pursue graduate training in exercise physiology, an allied health field such as physical therapy, or perhaps enroll in medical school. Others wishing to begin a career immediately upon graduation are employed in fitness and wellness centers, corporate fitness, or may work as personal trainers.
