Biographical Sketch: Professor Chapman received her Master of Science Degree in 1997 in Occupational Therapy and her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1981 in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. Lynne served as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the Medical College of Ohio since 1990 and became Clinical Assistant Professor in 1996. She received her license to practice independently as a Chemical Dependency Counselor from the State of Ohio Chemical Dependency Licensure Board in 1998. Lynne has served as a Senior Clinician in the Department of Rehabilitation since 1989. She became Coordinator of Professional Development in 2005. Lynne is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, with a specialized area of study in neuro-rehabilitation throughout the spectrum of care, including both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Although she has worked with a wide variety of patient populations, the majority of Lynne’s clinical experience has been working with persons who have experienced traumatic and acquired brain injury from stroke. Professor Chapman is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Toledo. She has developed an interest in working with persons who have sustained traumatic injuries as a result of substance abuse. Her research interests involve investigating the effects of neuro-developmental treatment on upper extremity function, school-based interventions for adolescents with ADHD, and substance abuse interventions with persons who experience substance-related traumas with a focus on qualitative research methodology.
