Amy Both, P.T., M.H.S.has been a faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy at the Medical University of Ohio since 1994. She received her BS in Physical Therapy from the Ohio State University and her M.H.S. with an emphasis in Pediatric Neurological Rehabilitation from the University of Indianapolis.
Ms. Both practiced full-time in the pediatric setting for approximately six years prior to beginning teaching. Since that time, Ms. Both continues to practice physical therapy in a pediatric day care center and consults for a wheelchair clinic and Down syndrome clinic. Her areas of expertise in teaching include gross motor development and pediatric rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, clinical problem solving and clinical education. In addition to teaching, Ms. Both serves as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Department of Physical Therapy.
Ms. Both is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as the Pediatric Section, Neurology Section and Education Section. She is currently a Credentialed Clinical Trainer for the American Physical Therapy Association's Clinical Instructor Education and Credentialing Program. Her research interests include examining topics related to clinical education and pediatric evaluation/rehabilitation.
