Office of Client Services
The Office of Client Services unit is the gateway to IT for all our clients: Students, Faculty, Staff, and Hospital personnel. Client Services enjoys the in depth collaboration of all of IT – Enterprise Applications; Network Services; Clinical Informatics; Academic Computing and all College Computing groups. Client Services’ technicians receive extensive training to understand all areas. Since we serve Academic, Administrative, and Medical Center areas the Office consists of Academic Client Services and Hospital Client Services, each headed by a director.
Academic Client Services provides desktop support, development and repairs with a 24x5 walk-in service request through Information Commons. We provide limited weekend support with College Computing groups and also support open labs for the use of all students. Our Desktop Development group is a small group of award winning programmers who deliver applications to the desktops. One of their current projects is the Virtual Lab Hospital Client Services unit manages our Helpdesk, Network Operations Center, and Hospital onsite support.
