Protecting University Data

Faculty and staff take part in protecting the university data.  Data, including Personally Identifiable Information, is the primary target of cyber-criminals.  The key to protecting yourself and the organization is to protect the confidential information we work with every day.

This data could be student records, financial data, research data, intellectual property, medical records, or personal identifiable information (birthday, Medicare, address, etc.).  Unauthorized access to sensitive data can cause harm to students, staff, and the reputation of the University, so it is everyone's responsibility to ensure that the University's data is protected.
