Law School Transcripts

Many employers will request a copy of your law school transcript as part of the application process. Occasionally, employers will ask for your undergraduate transcripts as well.

It is acceptable to send an unofficial transcript unless an official copy is specifically requested by the employer. Some employers will request official transcripts at the time of the initial application, or they may require you to present an official transcript during the interview stage or before confirming a job offer.

An unofficial copy of your student transcript is available at myUT (log-in required). Simply click on “Academic Transcript” in the “My Transcript” section of the Law tab. You may also request an unofficial paper copy from the Law Registrar’s Office on the second floor of the Law Center.

You may also request official transcripts at myUT (log-in required) by clicking on “Official Transcript Request” in the “My Transcript” section of the Law tab. Or from the University Registrar. It is also possible to pick up transcripts by going to the UT Registrar’s Office in Rocket Hall, Rocket Solutions Central, Room 1200.
