Online Certificate in Health Care Compliance - Requirements

The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Compliance does not qualify the holder to sit for a bar examination or practice law, nor will it be considered as a qualifier for entry into the JD program. Classes taken toward the Graduate Certificate in Health Care Compliance will under no circumstances be later applied toward a JD degree.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, students must have a bachelor’s degree and completed application with official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, personal statement, and current resume.

Students with an undergraduate GPA below 2.7 also are required to submit an LSAT, GRE, GMAT, or MCAT score OR proof of a successfully completed master’s (or higher) degree program. Students educated outside of the U.S. must also submit a TOEFL score and an LSAT, GRE, GMAT, or MCAT score. Otherwise, submission of LSAT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT or TOEFL scores is optional.

NOTE: The LSAT is not required to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Health Care Compliance.

Certificate students may take classes alongside JD students. However, Certificate students will be graded on the College of Graduate Studies grading scale, not the JD grading scale.

Tuition & Fees

As a state-supported university, different rates of tuition are charged based on a student’s classification as an Ohio Resident or Non-Ohio Resident. Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial aid will be available to qualified certificate students in the form of student loans. There are no scholarships for certificate students at this time.
