Guest Information

If you plan to attend Law Spring Commencement as a guest on Sunday, May 5, 2024, please review the details below. The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. at the Student Union Auditorium. Students must arrive between noon-12:30 p.m. to check in at in the hallway outside the auditorium. Doors of the auditorium open for guests at noon.


Tickets

No tickets are required for guests of this event. Livestream will be available on our law commencement page for those unable to attend in-person.


Accessibility

Accommodations will be available for graduates and guests with disabilities. Accessible parking will be available and accessible seating will be available upon request. ASL interpreters will be provided during the ceremony.


Photography

The University photographer will take individual photos of each candidate as they cross the stage, and a professional photographer will take a photo of each graduate with their diploma cover after the graduate leaves the stage. Family and guests are welcome to take pictures from the audience, but may not go on to the stage. Photos from the ceremony will be available to download from our Flickr album.


Directions & Lodging

The commencement ceremony will take place in The University of Toledo Student Union Auditorium. The College of Law's Law Center is located at 1825 W. Rocket Drive, immediately inside the West Entrance to the University, off Secor Road just south of Bancroft Street. The buildings are only a 5-10 minute walk apart. Lodging options are a short drive from the campus, and many offer special UToledo rates. For more information, visit our directions and lodging page. 


Parking

On May 5, free parking will be available. We recommend parking in Lot 12, which is adjacent to the Law Center, as a reception will take place there after the ceremony. There are several parking lots around campus to accommodate those with mobility concerns. Guests with mobility concerns can be dropped off in the bus loop adjacent to the Student Union. Handicapped parking spaces are available for individuals who have a state-issued handicapped card or plate. For drop-off areas and parking locations, explore the UToledo campus map.
