Lecturer in law Patricia Wise '85 delivers EEOC testimony

Patricia Wise ’85, a lecturer in law and former visiting professor at The University of Toledo College of Law, has been invited by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to testify at their hearing on workplace harassment on January 14, 2015. A long-time employment law attorney, she will testify about the best practices highlighted in her recent book on harassment in the workplace. 

 Wise is a partner in the firm of Niehaus Wise & Kalas Ltd. in Toledo. She has authored several books, including “Harassment in the Workplace: Sexual, Racial and Religious Complaints,” published in 2012, and “Understanding and Preventing Workplace Retaliation,” which was published in its third edition in 2012.

 In addition to teaching at the College of Law, Wise is on the faculty of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she provides in-person and on-line instruction in employment law. She is a sponsored speaker for the Graduate School and presents programs to state bankers’ associations across the country.
