Misty Wood '15 Selected as Winner of CyberWeek Essay Contest

July 8, 2016

Recent graduate Misty Wood ‘15 was recently selected as the winner of the CyberWeek Ethical Dilemma Essay Contest.  This contest was part of the 2015 ABA Mediation Week last November.

Law students were invited to analyze the performance of a hypothetical mediator who would like to conduct a mediation online instead of in-person.  Student submissions were read and scored by two members of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s Ethics Committee.

Ms. Wood’s submission will be published in the Section’s Just Resolutions newsletter and on the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s website.

“Misty took advantage of the unique opportunity to hone her skills as a mediator through the College of Law Dispute Resolution Clinic, which allows students to provide conflict resolution services to real parties in real cases,” said Clinical Professor Maara Fink.  “We congratulate Misty on this wonderful accomplishment and believe she will be a better practitioner as a result of her knowledge, skill and experience in ADR.”
