Biographical Sketch

This collection contains materials related to the Paratshek family of Toledo. A brief outline of the family tree as known is outlined below.

Louis Joseph Paratschek married Theresia Seefried at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Toledo Ohio Feb. 1st 1892. They had nine children that survived to adulthood.

• Rose Terese Paratschek married William John Fleckentein in 1914. They had two children, Buddie and Marrie.
• Edna Mary Paratschek married Joseph Francis Aloysious Abair in 1918. They had one son, Leo Francis Abair.
• Terrence Anthony Paratschek married Florence Ross in 1920. They had one daughter, Dolores Rose Paratschek.
• Josephine Louise Paratschek married Kalman Louis Loeb in 1923.
• Rudolph Casper Paratschek married Gertrude H Warnke in 1925. They had two children, Ralph Edwarf and Patricia Ruth. They divorced and he remarried Alice Ilene Kozak.
• Teresa Dorothy Paratschek married Edward Andrew DeAngelo.
• Joseph Ralph Paratschek married Rachael Emigene Williams in 1933.
• Ralph Anthony Paratschek married Mary Theresa Kelly in 1934.
• Gwendolyn Paratschek married Lord Van Meter in 1938.

Scope and Content Note

The collection contains three scrapbooks, a flyer for a school performance from 1934, and a calendar from 1998.

Scrapbook #1 relates to Mary Kelly’s life throughout college. Scrapbooks #2 and #3 are filled with pictures of the family as well as newspaper clippings of the Paratschek family.

The collection covers events primarily between 1872 and 1970, and because of the wide range of dates covered in the scrapbooks and the size of the collection, materials have been arranged according to size.
