The Carlson Library General Collection consists of books that are allowed to be checked out.
The General Collection is located on the fourth floor of Carlson Library, with the call numbering beginning in the southeast corner (exit the elevator lobby to your right and go to your left).
General Collection books are arranged by Library of Congress (LC) Call Numbers, which puts books on similar topics near one another on the shelves.
General information about using the UT Library Catalog to identify books can be found on the How do I Find Books page. You can limit your search to the Location: Carlson General Collection to limit your search to this collection.
New items in this collection are listed on the Library news page.
