Community Support

Outreach remains an essential function of libraries and archives; therefore, DI remains available to propose digital outreach initiatives in support of faculty.  DI will also maintain the Toledo’s Attic Web site, which has been an award-winning collaborative outreach program with the Maumee Valley Historical Society, WGTE Public Broadcasting, and Toledo-Lucas County Public Library since 1995. This project can involve UT graduate students in History as well as students in the K-12 system interested in local history.  DI will gladly offer Toledo community members training and guidance in digitizing historical documents and artifacts, developing good practices in describing digital objects, and offer support for local programs in digital projects.
