Module 1: What are the names of the libraries and where are they located?

William S. Carlson Library

The Carlson library is the central and largest of the university of toledo?s libraries providing access to materials for research and discovery through an indepth program of training, collection and collaboration. Located centrally on the Bancroft campus alongside the languidly brooding Ottawa River and next to loud and brash Student Union and the ROTC training field.

Engineering Library

The Engineering College Library is located in Palmer Hall (PL 2600). In this library you can find:

?Reference and circulating books on engineering and related science disciplines
?Drop-off and pick-up location for OhioLINK and Carlson materials
?Computers with Internet access and engineering software such as AutoCAD and MATLAB, as well as Microsoft Office applications
?Tutoring for engineering subjects
?Librarian to assist you with research for engineering or other subjects

Scott Park Library

The Scott Park Library is located on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center on the Scott Park Campus.

All collections are located on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center, and include reference books (for use in the library), general collection (books that can be checked out), periodicals, reserve materials, and audiovisual equipment and materials.

The library also hosts one of University of Toledo?s largest Educational & Information Technology staffed computer labs.

LaValley Law Library


The LaValley Law Library is located second floor of the UT Law School and occupies four levels within the Law Center. The LaValley Law Library contains more than 330,000 volumes in printed, microform, video and digital formats. More than 3,300 serial subscriptions form the backbone of our scholarly collection.

Bowman-Oddy Reading Room

The Bowman-Oddy Reading Room is located in Bowman-Oddy Hall (BO 2059). It is a reading room with back issues of chemistry journals and some limited computing facilities. There are no reference or support services available at this location. Bring umbrella.

Northwest Ohio Book Depository

You will probably never need to go to the Depository, since all items in the depository can be requested to be sent to a campus library location.  
However, if you wish to use materials at the depository itself, it is a good idea to call first at (419) 874-4891. The Depository is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is located at 12764 Levis Parkway in Perrysburg, Ohio in the Owens-Illinois Industrial Park.
