  • General Resources 
    These select Web sites are good starting points for information on diseases, conditions, and how to live healthy. Some have “symptom checkers”.  Most Web sites include illustrations and other images, many have videos and slide presentations.
  • Drug, Herb, Vitamin, Supplement, and Lab Test Information 
    These Web sites contain general information on many medications, supplements and lab tests. Please consult with a health care provider for specific information directly related to you or a loved one.
  • Resources Specific to a Disease, Condition, Age Group, or Gender
    Current resources which are specific to topics such as cancer, diabetes, household products, mental health, genetics, women, seniors, and children.
  • Dictionaries and Online Books
    Present links include several medical dictionaries, a medical spell checker, and a home medical reference book.
  • Toll-free Numbers and Directories
    Links to Toll-free numbers for health information as well as Web pages on locating health care providers and health care facilities.  Relevant State of Ohio boards (physician, nursing, occupational therapy, etc) for finding information on specific health professionals.
  • Health News
    Links to a sampling of consumer health news Web sites.
