Searching Historical PsycINFO
Historical PsycINFO (1887-1966) contains abstracts from Psychological Abstracts back to 1927 and the Psychological Bulletin from 1921-1926. In addition, all American Psychological Association (APA) journals and the American Journal of Psychology are indexed back to their first issues.
Unlike the contemporary PsycINFO (1967-present), Historical PsycINFO is not searchable using subject headings. To do a topic search, therefore, enter the search term or phrase in the Keyword or phrase field, and select the desired search option in the Search For: field. Remember to take synonyms and spelling variations into account.
For more information about PsycINFO, see its instruction page.
