There are a number of tools available to help you find the information that you need.
- UT Libraries catalog - to find materials available the UT Libraries, including the Mulford Library and the St Vincent Mercy Library
- OhioLINK catalog - to find and borrow materials from Ohio libraries, including all the medical school libraries in Ohio
- Databases by subject - to identify articles on a topic (also available alphabetically)
- Full-text resources - full-text books, journals, knowledgebases (such as MD Consult), and exam prep tools

Mulford provides a variety of exam preparation materials. In terms of online resources, we provide access to:
- ExamMaster: USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3, specialty certification exams (internal medicine, family practice, surgery, pediatrics, and ob/gyn), SPEX and PANCE (for physician assistants) are also included. Subject-specific exams are also available for biochemistry, anatomy, cytology/histology, medical microbiology, pathology, physiology; internal/clinical medicine, and psychiatry. - Lange Self-Assessment (powered by USMLEasy.com). With our AccessMedicine license, we also have access to 3000 questions from the USMLEasy test bank.
In terms of print resources, we have a collection of prep books for the USMLE that are on reserve or can be checked out of the Library.

EndNote. EndNote is a software program that allows you to enter citations, then use the software to cite and format citations in papers and manuscripts. EndNote 9 is the current bibliographic management software product offered by the UT Health Science Campus. It can be installed on your office computer by calling the Information Technology Help Desk (419.383.4259). See their web site for more information about getting EndNote for home. To learn more about EndNote, see Mulford's education page. NOTE: Because of the license agreement, EndNote is only available to faculty, residents, and staff members who are on the University of Toledo Health Science Campus payroll.Instructions to Authors. The Mulford Library is host to the world-renowned Instructions to Authors database, which links to the instructions to authors pages for biomedical journals.
Faculty Publications Database. The Mulford Library maintains the Faculty Publications Database. Currently, it only contains the publications of faculty in the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Science and Human Service. Eventually, publications of faculty at all University of Toledo colleges will be included.

We offer formal training sessions on databases like MEDLINE (articles in clinical medicine), PubMed (articles in clinical medicine), CINAHL (articles in nursing and allied health), EndNote (software to manage references), and Citation Verification (finding correct and complete citations). The current instruction schedule is available online. Individual or small group training appointments can be arranged by contacting Misa Mi at 419.383.3634 or misa.mi@utoledo.edu. We also have an extensive collection of online help sheets and tutorials.

The Mulford Health Science Library is located on the University of Toledo Health Science Campus (on the fourth floor of the Mulford Library Building). Our jobs are to make sure that you have the information you need for patient care, research, performance improvement projects, and education. Staff at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Health Science Library (located at 2213 Cherry St.; on the first floor of the d'Youville Education Center) are available to help patrons with reference questions in person, over the phone (419.251.2659), or by e-mail (svmmc_library@mhsnr.org). Staff members are also available to assist with interlibrary loans. The library is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. UT Health Science students, staff, and faculty are permitted to borrow materials from St. Vincent.
