What is SPARC?

SPARC® (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) is an international alliance developed by the Association of Research Libraries. It is focused on advancing the conduct of scholarship by stimulating the emergence of new scholarly communication models, and has been endorsed by leading academic organizations.

In order to insure public access to all articles arising from NIH funds, the National Institute of Health requires mandatory submission of manuscripts to PubMed Central.

Community of Science Image

The University of Toledo uses a service called Community of Science (COS) that allows everyone affiliated with The University of Toledo to search for funding opportunities, grants, awards and fellowships online in all disciplines. Users can search among 500,000 profiles of researchers from 1,600 international institutions and create their own profiles for showcasing research and expertise.
