Welcome!
The Margaret Papp Perry Memorial Hungarian Books Collection contains nearly 300 items preserved and made available for research at the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections at the University of Toledo Carlson Library. The majority of the collection focuses on Hungarian history, literature, culture, and society, including institutions and industries, but there ara a few publications on neighboring nations also. Most of the collection was published in English and Hungarian, but there is a small number of French, German, Italian, and Latin works about Hungarians also.
This virtual exhibit enables visitors to browse and search this collection, view basic information about the book (title, author, subject, publication, and call number), access corresponding library catalog records for more details, and find related works. For each book, we have scanned the cover, title page, tables of contents, introductions (foreword or preface), and a few selected pages in compliance with American and international copyright laws. We trust that the information provided herein will inspire our visitors to search for these works in libraries or book dealers, or use our collection for their research purposes. At the same time, our Web exhibit also connects researchers with salient and relevant collections and otherr scholarly resources.
