This shelf displays an Owens-Corning photo album and an Owens- Illinois booklet -- both from the 1939 New York World Fair. There is also an Owens-Corning Sample and Data book, a fiber glass insulation pamphlet, and an Owens-Illinois Sales Guide.


Owens-Corning in NY

The Glass Center at the New York World’s Fair marketed glass as the product of the future.  A key to that marketing campaign was a brand new product, Fiberglas.  The display included workers, dressed as laboratory technicians, making Fiberglas.
