ACLS Full Provider

Date: 6/14/2018  •  Time: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM;
Location: Unless otherwise designated, the location will be in the Lloyd Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center on the UT Health Science Campus (2920 Transverse Dr, Toledo Ohio)

The ACLS course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first minutes of an adult cardiac-related event. Participants must have knowledge of the current CPR guidelines when coming into this class. At this time, no CME credits are issued thru the University of Toledo for this class. If cancellation is necessary, fees are not applied to later classes, and a refund should be requested. Refunds are issued as follows:
1) All cancellations must be provided in writing to lifesupport@utoledo.edu
2) Cancellation for any reason with at least 2 business days will result in no charge for that class, and a full refund can be provided, if class was pre-paid.
3) For any cancellation with LESS than 2 business days, the class fee will be forfeited. Any exceptions to this charge will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
4) ON THE DAY OF THE CLASS, If the person arrives after class has started, they will need to reschedule. If the person arrives for an advanced class (ACLS / PALS) without the required precourse document, they will need to reschedule. In BOTH of these situations of Item 4, the class fee is forfeited and no refund is provided.

Designed for the healthcare professional who cares for the adult cardiac patient and may need knowledge of advanced resuscitation skills. Physicians/Residents, Nurses, EMS Personnel, Students of Healthcare Professions.

Prior experience and education in Cardiac Pharmacology & EKG Interpretation is strongly recommended for success. Also, participants must complete the 2020 ACLS Precourse Assessment and Precourse Work Course (refer to your confirmation letter - or contact our office if you have questions!).

-Attendance at the entire course.
-Satisfactory performance on required skills.
-Post written examination of at least 84%.

Participants should obtain the most current ACLS Provider (2020 guidelines). Employees should ask their respective manager for a textbook, while all others may purchase a textbook thru shopcpr.heart.org. The text may be used as a reference during the written exam at the end of the course.
