ACLS Course - Incoming Residents

Date: 6/18/2018  •  Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM;
Location: Unless otherwise designated, the location will be in the Lloyd Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center on the UT Health Science Campus (2920 Transverse Dr, Toledo Ohio)

This 1 day format is designed for Incoming Residents at the University of Toledo. The course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first minutes of an adult cardiac-related event.

Incoming residents at the University of Toledo who need both ACLS certification.

Participants must complete the ACLS Precourse Assessment and Precourse Work course found at elearning.heart.org. and submit the certificate at the time of class check-in.

Must successfully demonstrate all required BLS skills, management of a Respiratory arrest, demonstrate knowledge and team leadership skills when managing a scenario involving any of the following: cardiac arrest, post arrest, bradycardia with a pulse, tachycardia with a pulse, Acute coronary syndrome. The participant must also obtain a minimum of 84% on the written ACLS posttest.

The participant must have the most current ACLS textbook (2020 Guidelines), which should be obtained from their respective Residency Coordinator.
