The Full Provider format is designed for those participants who have never taken PALS, or have prior certifications that are lapsed. The goal of the PALS Course is to provide the learner with (1) information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; (2) information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children; and (3) the cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest. Registrants are encouraged but not required to have completed a BLS HCP course within the previous 2 years. At this time, no CME credits are issued thru the University of Toledo for this class. If cancellation is necessary, fees are not applied to later classes, and a refund should be requested. Refunds are issued as follows: If cancellation is at least 5 business days prior to the class, a full refund will be issued. If cancellation is less than 5 business days before the class, a 50% refund will be issued. If a cancellation request is not received before the day of the class, or if a participant fails to complete precourse requirements, or arrives after the class has started and is turned away, no refund will be issued.
