The AHA strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such course, except a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association. |

Materials: |
Students are required to obtain a "key" which is an authorization code to gain access to the on-line training. These keys are distributed to students by the College of Pharmacy. No textbook is necessary with the On-line course, but sstudents may optionally purchase a textbook (BLS for Healthcare Providers). |

| Educational
Prerequisite: |
Students must complete the On-line Part 1 session and print off the completion certificate BEFORE attending Part 2. The Part 1 certificate must be submitted to instructors at the beginning of the Part 2 session. |
| Course Completion
Requirements: |
The successful completion of both Part 1 & Part 2 results in course completion. Part 2 completion requires being able to perform CPR on a manikin, and may require kneeling on the floor. |
