Xuesong Huang, Ph.D.  Dr. Huang completed his Ph.D. in Infection, Immunity and Transplantation (IIT), September 13, 2007.  Thesis title: "The study on signal mechanism of protein kinase C Zeta-involved NF-KB activation in LPS-stimulated TLR4 signaling pathways."   His major advisor is Dr. Z. Kevin Pan.  Xuesong accepted a Postdoctoral position in the lab of Dr. Wen-Ming Chu, Dept. of Molecular Microbiology & Immunology at Brown University, Providence, R.I.

Dr. Lazarus completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, August 3, 2007.  Thesis title:  "A role for interleukin-10 in the murine model of lyme disease"...major advisor:  Dr. R. Mark Wooten.  John began his studies in fall 2007 to become a medical doctor at The University of Toledo, Health Science Campus.

Kylie Roach, M.S. 
 Kylie completed her M.S. Degree in Biomedical Sciences, July 19, 2007.  Thesis title:  "A role for igIC in the growth and persistence of Francisella tularensis within macrophages" ... major advisor: Dr. R. Mark Wooten.   Kylie moved to Chicago and is attending Pacific College of Oriental Medicine to pursue a degree in: Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Last known position: Kylie lives in Chicago and attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Rachel Balder, Ph.D.
 Dr. Balder was awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Sciences, April 3, 2007.  Thesis title: "Type V secretion system exoproteins and their roles in the adherence of the gram-negative bacterial pathogens Moraxella catarrhalis, Burkholderia pseudomallei and Burkholderia mallei" ...major advisor: Dr. Eric Lafontaine.  Rachel accepted a Post-doctoral Fellow position at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA in the laboratory of Dr. Lafontaine.

Brian Bullard, Ph.D. Dr. Bullard was awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Sciences, April 4, 2007.  Thesis title:  "Characterization of the Moraxella catarrhalis Hag Adhesin"... major advisor:  Dr. Eric Lafontaine.  Brian accepted a position at Ohio State University as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. John Gunn.
