Training

As a service to the university and researchers the we offer basic training on the BD FACSCalibur for analytical use. All training on the FACSCalibur is free with a scheduled appointment.

Training includes:

• Basic operation and maintenance of equipment
• Overview of experimental setup using CellQuest Pro
• Sample acquisition and analysis
• Optional cell cycle analysis using Modfit

Researchers and users interested in self-operation of the FACSCalibur should first visit BD's online Introduction to Flow Cytometry. After completing the online tutorial, interested individuals should schedule an appointment for training with one of the Core personnel and download or view the FACSCalibur Training powerpoint below.
