Works in collaboration with Neurologists and Movement Disorder Specialists providing holistic and comprehensive care and disease management for patients with Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, and dementia.  Serves as Co-Director of the Parkinson’s Disease Interdisciplinary Clinic where patients are evaluated and treated using a collaborative team approach including speech therapy, audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, neuropsychology, social work,  pharmacy, and an advanced practice nurse. Clinical instructor for nursing students in the graduate Nurse Practitioner and the Clinical Nurse Leader programs from the University of Toledo.  Sub-Investigator for clinical trials.

EXPERIENCE:

Currently Nurse Practitioner and Sub-Investigator for Clinical Research in Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Program since January 2007.

Seventeen years as Clinical Research Nurse with Clinical Research Services at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Infectious Disease Clinical Research Ltd., and the Center for Applied Pharmacology 1989-2006.

Nine years as staff nurse at St Vincent Medical Center in Emergency/Trauma, Coronary ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, and Medical/surgical unit, 1981-1989.

Co-Investigator for study of Yoga in Parkinson’s 2009 with Poster presentation at World Federation of Neurology World Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Related Disorders 2009, and at the International Association of Yoga Therapist Research Conference 2010

Executive Director, Toledo District Ohio Nurses Association 1987-88.

Teaching Assistant/Clinical Instructor, Medical College of Ohio 1988.

Assistant Clinical Manager-Intermediate Surgical Care, Toledo Hospital 1986.
