The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to providing its resident physicians a competitive, cost effective and innovative program of complete benefits. These benefits are a part of the total compensation package provided by the University of Toledo.

Computer Service
Free campus access to the Internet, Medline, Science Citation Index, etc. is provided.

Day Care
UT's Early Learning Center is located near UTMC and is available for children 18 months - 5 years. A modest operating expense fee is charged.

Meals
All meal charges are discounted. One free meal is provided to each resident for each night on call.

Prescription Plan
UT plan enables you to fill prescriptions through the UT Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy with a dispensing fee of $4 and 20% of the drug cost.

Professional Membership Fees
Fees are provided for Junior Fellow membership in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Sick Leave
15 days paid sick leave are allotted annually.

Textbook
Each resident is provided a yearly book allowance

Travel
Starting in the PGY-2 year, funds are available to help defray the cost of attending an approved educational conference.

Uniform
Interns are provided with two white coats and other residents receive one new coat per year (all laundered at UT without charge).

Vacation
PGY-1: 3 weeks
PGY 2-4: 4 weeks
