About the Assistant in Pathology Program

The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) in Assistant in Pathology program utilizes innovative instructional methods in conjunction with the medical school and physician assistant program’s diverse resources to provide students with outstanding educational opportunities. The curriculum provides graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to maximize healthcare as Pathologists’ Assistants and leaders in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

Our program has been awarded  Continuing Accreditation for ten years (Oct. 31, 2033)  by the National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

The AAPA is dedicated to the advocacy and advancement of pathologists’ assistant profession. The AAPA advocates, promotes, and sustains the highest education and professional standards for the profession, for all associated educational training programs and for individual pathologists' assistants. Additionally, the AAPA strives to promote and support high-quality standards within the scope of practice for pathologists' assistants in anatomic pathology, ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care.
