Scott Levitt
Scott grew up in Annapolis, Maryland. He became a firefighter and EMT at the age of 16, where he discovered his passion for medicine. He attended college at the Unviersity of Maryland, Baltimore County, but left after one year to work as a paramedic. After three years away from college working as an ER tech, 911 dispatcher, critical care transport medic, and a Baltimore City Paramedic (not all at once), he returned to UMBC to pursue becoming a physician. Scott then went on to attend medical school at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. After completing med school, he completed one year of family medicine residency at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, MD. That year was a great learning experience, but Scott could now not be happier to finally be an Emergency Medicine resident at UTMC!!
After completing residency, Scott hopes to become an EMS medical director, ski patrol medical director, and tactical physician, in addition to working in the emergency department. Outside of medicine, he loves skiing, sky diving, SCUBA diving, photography, hiking, rock climbing, and playing the drums. He still remains an active member of a volunteer fire department in Baltimore and a ski patroller in PA, on his time off
