Dr. Saunders is originally from England. With both parents in the military he moved quite regularly until attending college at Virginia Tech. After graduating, he was married to Terria. They lived in Nashville, Tennessee for one year until he started medical school in England. However, the school closed two years into the basic sciences and he lost all his course work. Fortunately, he was able to continue his medical education through St. George’s University School of Medicine. Concurrent with his medical education, he earned his Masters in Health Care Administration through St. Joseph’s College of Maine. He has a strong interest in international relief work, administrative aspects of hospital medicine, teaching medical students, and emergency department procedures. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, international travel, running, soccer, and watching Virginia Tech Football (GO HOKIES!)
