    David F. Baehren, MD, FACEP

    Undergraduate: Ohio State University 1982
Medical School:  Medical College of Ohio (now UT College of Medicine) 1986
Residency: Emergency Medicine Ohio State University 1989

Personal information:  I am married and have two children.  I grew up in the Toledo area and after living in three other towns, my wife and I chose to return here to raise our family.  Of all the places I have lived and worked, I am most content here in Toledo.  I have written a novel, “Roads to Hilton Head Island”, have completed a second novel, and I am working to get it published.  I have a 1928 Model A Ford.

Professional interests:  I write a monthly column (“In the Arena”)for ACEP News.  I am interested in the simulation lab, which is currently being developed for the Medical College and the residencies at UTMC.  Clinical use of ultrasound in the ED is also an interest.

After three years of training in Emergency Medicine at UTMC, our residents should emerge as confident and well rounded physicians who are prepared to make a positive impact wherever they go.
