Lab Coat Ceremony, August 22, 2011

The Inaugural Lab Coat Ceremony was held at 4:00PM to welcome the new graduate students into the BMS program.  The students were welcomed by  Dr. Jeffrey Gold, Chancellor & Executive VP for Biosciences & Health Affairs, Dean College of Medicine, Dr. Patricia Komuniecki, Vice Provost Graduate Affairs, Dean College of Graduate Studies and Dr. John Russ, President of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences Alumni Affiliate.  Each graduate student was presented a lab coat embroidered with their name and a coffee mug imprinted with the program logo by Dr. John Russ and Mr. Daniel Saevig, Associate Vice President Alumni Relations.  Following the ceremony the students were addressed by Dorothea Sawicki, Associate Dean College of Graduate Studies & Vice Chancellor for Graduate Health Science Studies and Dr. Randall Ruch, Associate Dean, COM Graduate Programs.
