Educational Programs
The Arboretum's 47 acres of research area allow a chance for students to learn about the complexities of life in the natural world. Teachers are encouraged to arrange field trips to the Arboretum throughout the year that supplement their lesson plans and meet proficiency test outcomes.
Leaf Collection
Leaf collection is permitted; however, only leaves that have fallen to the ground may be removed from the Arboretum. Late-September through late-November is the best time for leaf collection. If you would like to join a group collection, please contact the Olander Park System (Sandy Gratop) for information on collection trips.
The Program Coordinator, Lisa Taylor, invites educators to contact her at 419.841.1007 or lisa.delp@utoledo.edu to arrange for special visits or events for students.
