General Information

ELIGIBILITY FOR NORTHWEST OHIO DISTRICT 2 SCIENCE DAY
5th through 12th grade students attending schools and receiving their education in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood Counties of northwestern Ohio can become eligible to participate upon a demonstration of excellence (usually a superior ranking) in a local or county science fair. Registration is completed online.

FIELDS OF ENTRY
Behavioral and Social Sciences, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Space Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Medicine and Health, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology.

DATE
Saturday, March 7, 2020

WHERE
Thompson Student Union is on the University of Toledo Main Campus (See Campus Map). Projects can be unloaded in the bus circle on the west side of the Union. Once unloaded, please park in the West Parking Garage or adjacent lots.  School buses can unload in the bus circle and then park in the lot north of the West Parking Garage. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR UNATTENDED. If it is unattended and not in a parking spot, it will be ticketed.

TIME
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.  Registration and set-up of projects is scheduled from 7:30 – 9 a.m.  FROM 9 a.m. UNTIL 12:00 NOON WHEN JUDGING HAS BEEN COMPLETED, ONLY EXHIBITORS AND JUDGES ARE PERMITTED IN THE JUDGING AREA. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.in Room 2520, the Ingman Room, of Thompson Student Union. Students who receive superior ratings and qualify for State Science Day must either attend or have a representative at the Awards Ceremony.

JUDGING
Judging is from  9 am until 12 noon. During this time, the exhibit area is reserved for students and judges only. Exhibits are to remain on display for public viewing until 1:30.

FEES
A registration fee of $20 per student must be submitted upon registration. Team projects will be $20.00 per team member. If paying by check, please remit to Northwest Ohio District Science Day. You may pay by credit card through the online registration site. Checks are to be mailed to:
