Powder X-ray Diffractometers
These instruments can be used for phase identification of solid materials, crystallite size, preferred orientation and quantitative analysis. Samples can include powders, thin films and polymers. Data can be collected with a symmetric scan (theta - 2 theta scan) or asymmetric scan (2 theta scan). Analysis programs include JADE and various versions of PANalytical X'Pert software.
- has a temperature range of -150 to 400 degrees C
- capillary tube can be used for air sensitive materials or small sample size

Scintag XDS-2000
- has a temperature range from RT to 1000 degrees C
