Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) projects takes place at the Lake Erie Center's GIS/RS lab. This Lab supports the dynamic needs of the many different research efforts taking place at the LEC. Dr. Kevin Czajkowski with the Department of Geography and Planning heads several projects located at this lab. Turbidity remote sensing, K-12 outreach and environmental database development take place in the GIS/RS lab, agricultural monitoring are just some of the projects that take place here at the LEC GIS/RS lab. The GIS Lab is also currently running an XGrid cluster , as well as a MySQL database server, and Distributive, through X11 RSI Envi and IDL.
