The vision of the Office of Governmental Relations at the University of Toledo is to provide a comprehensive political view of the world to university administration, faculty, staff, and students so that transformative efforts may be focused to where they will be the most effective and do the most good.
The mission of the Office of Governmental Relations at the University of Toledo is to support the university and advance its strategic plan by forging and maintaining valuable partnerships between the university and local, state, and federal governments and public agencies. The OGR realizes this mission through representation and advocacy of the university’s needs and interests with local, state and federal elected and appointed officials in the City of Toledo, around the region, at the State Capitol, and in Washington, D.C.
