Advanced Chinese (Level I & II)

(Non-credit Course for Advanced Learners)

Time: Wednesday 18:30 - 20:00

Dates: January 25^th through April 4^th, 2012 (10 sessions, no class on March 7^th)

Location: 1160 Snyder Memorial, Main Campus

Cost:  $200 (per level)

• complimentary pocket dictionary, textbook and materials
• certificate upon completion of the course
• 50 % discount for UT staff and faculty and previous students

(Free for UT students enrolled in Chinese classes in foreign language department)

Course Description: This two-semester course is designed for students who have completed Basic Chinese & Intermediate Chinese or have equivalent Chinese language proficiency.

It focuses on the improvement of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through engaging students, guiding them in reading Chinese stories, and tutoring them in journal and short essay writing. Selecting reading materials offer students information about China’s unique culture, traditions and customs.
