University of Toledo Policies on Summer and Break Period Employment The University of Toledo has their own policies regarding employment of students. Depending on which account you are hired under, the 1510 or 1590 or a private contractor on-campus, will determine the amount of hours you can work during the Summer and break periods. Please see chart below for further clarification. |

Graduate Assistantship With Full Stipend

12 credit hours : Undergraduate 9 credit hours: Graduate If you are enrolled for less than full-time, what do you do? *If you have not maintained your status, what do you do? |
You are already working 20 hours in your department and are not eligible to work elsewhere on campus. | Your department only | If your graduate advisor gives you permission (you need to obtain a form that your advisor signs from the Student Employment Office) you can obtain a job under the 1590 account or with an on-campus private contractor and work hours that would be equivalent to 40 hours/week. |

Depending on how many hours are required of you to work in your department per week, you may work additional hours that do not exceed a total of 20 hours. | Your department and possibly somewhere else on campus | With approval from your advisor, you can work under the 1590 account or with an on-campus private contractor for up to an equivalent of 40 hours per week. |
