Call for Nominations - Distinquished University Professorship - Deadline for Nominations - Friday, December 11, 2009

The Academic Honors Committe, co-chaired by Vice Provosts John Gaboury and Patricia Metting, seeks nominations of University of Toledo tenured faculty for the position of Distinquished University Professor. The Distinquished University Professorship (DUP) is one of the highest honors the University can bestow on a faculty member and is conferred for a renewable five-year term with a $5000/year grant.  Successful candidates will demonstrate 1) a record of excellent teaching; 2) a national or international reputation for peer-recognized and peer-reviewed scholarship or professional activity appropriate to their disciplines; and 3) exemplary professional service, particularly in ways that utilize their profesisonal expertise to advance their disciplines or the community.  For more detailed selection criteria related to each of these three categories click here.  Deadline for Nominations is Friday, December 11, 2009.
