Peanut Butter Lover’s Day- March 1

A high protein snack, peanut butter, can help lower your risk for heart disease.  Peanuts contain the most protein out of any other nut; it’s cholesterol free too!  Peanuts help with satiety (the feeling of fullness) and those that ate peanuts and peanut butter had a lower BMI and weight even if they ate more calories.

For more information visit the Peanut Institute

Cereal Day- March 7

Eat a healthier cereal today.  Try some oatmeal.  There are so many uses for it than just eating a bowl of it.  Grab some granola to add to your yogurt with fresh fruit, mix it up with tons of different ways to eat your oatmeal. Allrecipes.com has a ton of great ideas!

The best part is you don’t have to eat it hot!  You can make overnight oatmeal in the fridge and have it in a to-go container to grab and take with you on busy mornings.

Get creative with your cereal and add some more nutrition to your morning!
