Board of Trustees : Richard B. Stansley, Jr., Chairman

Richard B. Stansley, Jr. is president of Stansley Mineral Resources, Inc., three companies specializing in aggregates, concrete and trucking. He is a native of Toledo and a resident of Sylvania. Mr. Stansley is serving his third term as Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Stansley is also involved in several other businesses and sits on numerous boards throughout northwest Ohio. He is chairman of the Transportation Advocacy Group of Northwest Ohio, a member of the Ohio Aggregates Association, and a member of the Associates Executive Committee and Legislative Awareness Committee for the Ohio Contractors Association.

He is also actively involved in community and civic areas. He is a founding member of the Edison Academy for Excellence and is an active supporter of adult continuing education programs.  Mr. Stansley has been honored by the Sylvania Schools Partners for Education as well as the Ottawa County Community Improvement Corporation.

After graduating from high school in Sylvania, Stansley attended classes at The University of Toledo and at Lourdes College. Throughout the succeeding years, Stansley has been an active supporter and contributor to the University and various programs and organizations throughout the University. In his professional life, he has also forged relationships in strategic planning, organizational development and employee continuing education between the University and the Stansley Group of companies.

Stansley is married and has two children.
