Olivia K. Summons is director of public affairs for Sunoco's Toledo Refinery.
She was appointed to the UT Board of Trustees in 2002. She is presently serving as Board of Trustees Chair.
A native of Toledo, Summons holds a bachelor's degree in English from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Summons is active in the community and sits on several boards in the Toledo area. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Regional Growth Partnership, and is a member of the Fifth Third Bank Board of Directors (Northwest Ohio) and the Stranahan Trust. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Toledo. Previous board and community affiliations include the Toledo Zoological Society, ProMedica Health System, the Bank of Maumee, the Ohio Educational Telecommunications Network Commission, The Toledo Public Schools Reform Committee, and the UT Foundation Board. She has also served as president of the Junior League of Toledo, Inc.
Professionally, Summons is past president of the Corporation for Effective Government (CEG) and has held positions at The Toledo Edison Co. and the Greater Toledo Marketing Group..
