Olivia K. Summons is director of public affairs for Sunoco's Toledo Refinery.
She was appointed to the UT Board of Trustees in 2002 and is presently Vice Chair of the Board. She is also a member of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee and the External Affairs Committee.
A native of Toledo, Summons holds a bachelor's degree in English from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Summons is highly active in the community and sits on several boards in the Toledo area. She currently serves on the boards of the Regional Growth Partnership, Stranahan Trust, the Bank of Maumee, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Toledo. Previous board and community affiliations include the Toledo Zoological Society, ProMedica Health System, the Ohio Educational Telecommunications Network Commission, The Toledo Public Schools Reform Committee, and the UT Foundation Board. She has also served as president of the Junior League of Toledo, Inc.
Professionally, Summons is past president of the Corporation for Effective Government (CEG) and has held positions at The Toledo Edison Co. and the Greater Toledo Marketing Group..
